This is not just one ammonite, but a remarkable cluster featuring numerous Cleoniceras ammonites fossilized together. The larger, dominant ammonite forms the base, showcasing a beautiful, subtle iridescent sheen that hints at the “”mother of pearl”” nacre. Its shell also features fascinating natural fractures, revealing glimpses of its intricate internal chambers.
Scattered across the matrix, and nestled within the curves of the larger shells, are several smaller, perfectly formed ammonites. Some of these smaller specimens boast a more vivid iridescence, glowing with vibrant greens and pinks. This clustering offers a dynamic and textured display, suggesting a thriving ancient seafloor where these cephalopods congregated.
This impressive specimen measures approximately 10 cm in height and is at least 14 cm in width.
