Discovered in the famed Sannine Formation of Lebanon, this piece dates back to the Cenomanian period, approximately 95 to 98 million years ago.
The visible side of the plate showcases a “duo” of Carpopenaeus shrimps, their delicate forms and long antennae beautifully preserved in the fine-grained limestone. The textual information also notes that the reverse side of the matrix contains two fish fossils, creating a diverse and unique assemblage of ancient marine life.
